Facts play a major role in terms of information especially when the information is related to some professions like sports. People prefer reading before making a decision, whereas facts act the best piece of summarised information.
Recently, Peter Salzano came across a group of students who are planning to pursue snowboarding but are confused because of some facts related to snowboarding.
So with the intention of sharing some interesting information about the sport here are some facts shared by Peter:
- The chances of injuries in snowboarding are 50-70 percent less than in Skiing, so don’t ignore the sport because of the injury factor.
- Snowboarding is still a preferred sport even after being banned in resorts in the early 1980s because there were snowboarders that did not let the sport die.
- As snowboarding is a professional game, so are the rules and categories professional planned, like the snowboards are of three types namely freestyle, freeride and the racing as per the type of snowboarding
- Don’t get confused with snowboarding and snurfing as snurfing is a name for snowboarding only. Earlier snowboarding was known as “snurfing.”
- Snowboarding is no more a normal sport there are many competitions of snowboarding as a proof of success and popularity of the sport.
